Biography

Negin is an early career postdoctoral fellow in the NeuroRecovery Research Hub (UNSW) and the Centre for Pain IMPACT (NeuRA). She completed her PhD in the School of Medical Sciences (UNSW) and have studied biomedical engineering in her BSc and MSc degrees. Negin has been awarded a postdoctoral fellowship from the Craig H Nielsen Foundation (the USA) to develop and test a brain-computer interface neurofeedback intervention for people with neuropathic pain following spinal cord injury. This approach is a novel intervention in which individuals will be trained to gain control over their brain activity using neurofeedback in a way that results in pain reduction.
