Clinical Trials

At the NeuroRecovery Research Hub we have a number of trials that are being conducted to investigate interventions for disorders that affect the brain and the spine. We are currently recruiting participants for some of these trials. You can find out more below.

The VRWalk Trial

The Restore Trial

The Restore trial investigates a novel virtual reality haptic walking treatment to restore sensation in people with complete paraplegia. We are currently seeking interest from people with complete thoracic injury.

The tRESTORE Trial

The tRESTORE trial investigates a novel virtual reality haptic walking treatment, plus transcutaneous spinal cord stimulation (tSCS), to restore sensation in people with complete paraplegia. We are currently seeking interest from people with complete thoracic injury below T6.

The StoPain Trial

The StoPain trial investigates a novel brain-computer interface treatment to decrease nerve pain in people with spinal cord injury. We are currently seeking interest from people have developed nerve pain after both incomplete and complete spinal cord injury.

The Eye-Pain Trial

The Eye-Pain trial investigated whether a form of biofeedback known as EEG neurofeedback can help reduce neuropathic eye pain. This trial has concluded, and we are currently not accepting any further participants.
